The Blinding Sea has just won the Award for Best Documentary Film at the Mountain View International Film Festival, in Darjeeling, India.
This comes as a great honour, and is the 24th award I have won at a film festival around the world. People in Darjeeling, at the foot of the Himalayas, can relate directly to my film, since they are well aware of the challenges of ice and snow, mountaineering and expeditions.
I hope to get to Darjeeling one day, to meet the festival organizers there, and also to learn more about Indian cinema.
