I love the effects of light, particularly at night. I took the feature photo at the top of this blog, during a harbour cruise recently, as we approached the Jacques Cartier Bridge in Montreal.
I love the play of Aurora Borealis, which I have watched with pleasure, many times, on the Beaufort Sea, in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Nunavik, Labrador, southern Quebec and the Adirondacks of upstate New York, and also while flying from Montreal to Bergen.
The Swiss photographer Roger Spinner took the photograph above of red sprites, a rare phenomenon observed during electric storms. It seems like something supernatural!
